    Description

Here's one of the most sought-after vintage 1940s-1950s Haeger pottery table lamps: A Female Nude crouching on the back of a turtle holding an enormous fish. Most unusually, it has its original pottery finial of an angelfish. Solid grey glaze.  Lamp measures 20" high - to the top of the finial it measures 34". Base of the lamp is in perfect condition, the finial has a filled-in flake and two pin-head glaze losses on the lips you cannot notice unless you run your finger over it. This lamp does not have a shade.
Fun facts: This unique lamp caught the attention of art directors and be spotted in the 1947 film "It Happened of Fifth Avenue" with Ann Harding and Gale Storm and is prominently featured (without its finial) on the sexy 1956 album cover of "Night" by the Johnnie Mann Singers.
(I have an image of the lamp in a scene from the film and the album cover but Ebay will not me upload them as they don't have the right number of pixels...will send images by request)
