Custom Leather Sheath for a Zombie Tools Felon Bowie.

This listing is for a new custom made heavy leather
sheaths
I just finished. I complete three new custom leather sheaths for some Zombie Tools blades I have. The blades are the Scyllis, Felon Bowie and the New Hellion.
I decided to complete all the sheaths with the same color, stamping design, belt loop type; and I attached a solid brass scorpion pendent to the front of each of the belt loops that holds the sheaths to the belt loops.

I used 8-9 oz veg tanned leather for the body of the sheaths and for the 1 1/4” leather shoulder/baldric straps too. In addition I placed a 4-5 oz veg tanned leather insert inside the sheath to further protect the blade and to protect the sheath from the blade cutting into the sheath when the blade is being put back into the sheath.
The shoulder/baldric strap is attached to the belt loop with two steel D rings that attach to two metal chap snaps. The snaps have a copper finish as does the 1 1/4” steel roller buckle.
The body of the sheath, shoulder/baldric strap and belt loop were all hand sewn with waxed thread using a saddle stitch.
I applied two coats of leather finish to the body of the sheath, shoulder/baldric strap and to the belt loop holding the body of the sheath. I then applied several coats of acrylic finish to the surface of the leather too. Furthermore, I applied an additional oil/wax finish to the inside of the body of the sheath to protect the blade from moisture.
I also waxed all the edges of the sheath, shoulder/baldric strap and the belt loop to harden those areas.
Lastly, the sheath can be removed from the belt loop and rotated to fit back into the belt loop so that the blade can be carried on either the right or left side of the body. The belt loop will fit a belt up to 4" wide.
