A group of four original hand drawn sketches from The Beatles’ 1968 animated film
Yellow Submarine
. Each features a pencil drawing of Frankenstein’s monster with animation notes written along the bottom edge. As part of the production process, the animation artist would draw these sketches under the guidance of the project’s director. The sketches were drawn by animator Dennis Hunt, who in addition to working on
Yellow Submarine
also worked on The Beatles’ cartoon series. The next stage would be that the cels used in the actual film would be created based on these pencil sketches.
